Paul has more than 15 years of experience in M&A and private placements as an investment banker and corporate lawyer. Paul leads the firms’ consumer industry team, leveraging his experience working in the restaurant, retailing, direct marketing, eCommerce, consumer products and food sectors. Prior to joining GH&F, Paul was a managing director and co-head of the Private Placement Group at Piper Jaffray, where he was highly active in private placements of equity and debt for private and public companies. Before joining the private placement group, he executed a wide range of investment banking transactions in the consumer and technology sectors at Piper Jaffray. Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, Paul practiced law at Faegre & Benson in Minneapolis and before that, Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison and Morrison & Foerster in Southern California, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, public securities offerings and venture capital financings. Paul is a graduate of University of Wisconsin (BS) and Cornell Law School (JD).
