Mike Smiggen has 15 years of private equity, corporate finance and commercial banking experience. From 1994 to 1999, Mike was in US Bank’s Leveraged Finance Division where he financed middle-market businesses, providing senior and subordinated debt financing to private equity sponsors in their buyout and recapitalization transactions. From 1999 to 2009, Mike was a Principal with Tonka Bay Equity Partners, a Minnetonka-based private equity fund. Mike’s experience includes leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and strategic acquisitions as well as working with management and ownership to develop and execute long-term strategic plans. Mike’s merger and acquisition background includes companies in manufacturing, aerospace, professional services and consumer/food industries. He has served on numerous Boards of Directors, including Aero Systems Engineering, AppleWhite Dental Partners, All Flex AVT and nSpired Natural Foods. Mike is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (BBA, MBA). He has also served on the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Minnesota Board of Directors.
